Parkmania

Parkmania is a mobile app designed to connect people who own a parking spot to car drivers in Jönköping, Sweden. I had to tackle the problems from the ideation stage through pixel-perfect designs.

Challenge

Our business is based on connecting parking spot owners and car users. View it as sort of an AirBnb for parking. Spot owners register to our platform and offer their parking spots to our users. We also want the user to plan their parking and have their booked spot waiting for them when they arrive at the parking. If our users don’t have to circulate in traffic and look for a vacancy, they will emit less carbon dioxide, which means that our parking is going to be environmentally friendly.

User Testing Insights
  • Make the navigation clearer
Users find it hard to understand the app's architecture and navigate. See how to simplify the navigation bar.

  • Improve the spacing and alignment of input
We had to change the way the inputs were being selected to make it easier and faster for the users.

  • Ambiguous button design
We had different types of information with similar design which is confusing for the users.

Reflection

This project was my first UX design project and inspired me to make it my profession today. I was able to apply many research methods and get a lot of feedback.
